Artist Biography
Summary
Jennifer Paul McLeroy is a contemporary visual artist based in Southern California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) from San Diego State University. Demonstrating a rare balance of academic discipline and creative mastery, she graduated top of her class with Summa Cum Laude honors, while simultaneously receiving the faculty’s highest recommendation to graduate with a Distinction in Art. Her academic training grounded her in classical techniques, which she now combines with an experimental, nature-focused approach to create her signature style. Operating under her studio brand, Jen Paints with Leaves, Jennifer specializes in a leaf print process that she uses as the beginning of many of her paintings. She also does vibrant custom commissions, dynamic athletic portraits, and expressive pet paintings, murals and classes. Driven by a passion for community and education, she is currently expanding her practice to include local art workshops and class schedules, sharing the joy of creative expression with aspiring artists of all levels. She is pictured in her studio where she feels the freest.
